Morna Sung

BSc (Hons) Osteopathy

I have been helping people from all walks of life through therapeutic touch since 2010 when I qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist. This was an incidental qualification whilst I was studying Osteopathy at Oxford Brookes University. In 2013, I completed the 5 years long Bachelor of Science degree in Osteopathy, to graduate with first class honours.

Over the years, I have practised in a number of highly reputable and long-established private osteopathic clinics in the West Midlands, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire. All the while, I also set up a treatment space for my own patient base from around West Oxfordshire and, increasingly, further afield.

To help you best get back to doing the things you enjoy, I seek to gain a personal insight into your individual experience and pain presentation. I will also consider other influencing factors into my diagnosis, to optimise the treatment outcomes and overall management process for your journey of recovery from pain. Using my hands, I identify and release barriers to health in your body to improve your wellbeing. Where appropriate, sports massage may also form a part of your osteopathic treatment plan. I provide a holistic treatment approach including symptomatic relief as well as preventative management.

I have built up experience and knowledge in treating people suffering from chronic stress, and post-traumatic stress disorder, since I broadened my scope of practice with additional training in cranial osteopathy and classical osteopathy. Another special interest area relates to movement issues or pain in the jaw (sometimes referred to as the temporomandibular joint, or TMJ).

Read patient testimonials about how I also help people with acute injuries or more chronic issues e.g. active people with various sporting injuries; office workers with neck and shoulder pain; new mums or mums to be with back pain; people suffering with pain from osteoarthritis in the hips or knees, as well as nerve-related pain.

Away from my treatment space my hobbies include strength training, playing the piano, meditation, and yoga.

After a decade of offering consultations and hands-on treatment, I also I started teaching yoga integrated with a meditative practice during 2020. This can also form a complementary adjunct to your osteopathic consultations, incorporating that holistic approach in your personal journey of transforming your general health and wellbeing. I trained and qualified as a yoga teacher (200 hours) with senior yoga teacher trainer and found of Sukhita Yoga, Hugh Poulton.
